ETH continues to burn at a rapid pace since an early August network upgrade that destroys transaction fees instead of handing them to miners.

  • How Much Ethereum Has Been Burned Since the London Hard Fork?

    On average, about 200 ETH ($643,000) is being burned every hour since the August 5th ETH, EIP-1559 update.  As of August 29th, a total of 124,865 ETH (~$400,000,000 USD) has been taken out of circulation by the Ethereum blockchain.
